What is BYOG — Bring Your Own Gateway?

On Marii Tickets, you connect your own payment gateway — Pesepay, Paynow, or Stripe— and buyers pay you through it directly. Ticket money never passes through a Marii account: it settles straight into yours, on your gateway's normal schedule. Marii holds no funds and adds no per-sale commission.

What buyers can pay with

Buyers pay with whatever you have enabled through your gateway — typically EcoCash, Visa/Mastercard, and bank transfer. The available options are shown at the payment step, before the buyer confirms.

At checkout, the buyer is redirected to your payment gateway's secure hosted payment page to complete the transaction. Once payment succeeds, their QR-code tickets are emailed to them automatically.

How the money flows

1

A buyer checks out

The buyer picks their tickets at tickets.marii.app, enters their name, phone number, and email, and is redirected to your gateway's hosted payment page to pay by EcoCash, card, or bank transfer — whichever methods you have enabled.

2

Funds settle into your own account

Because the payment runs through your own connected gateway, the money settles directly into your Pesepay, Paynow, or Stripe account. Marii never touches your money — there is no Marii wallet or holding account in the middle.

3

You get paid on your gateway's schedule

Settlement timing is set by your gateway, not by Marii. Whatever schedule your Pesepay, Paynow, or Stripe account normally pays out on, ticket sales follow the same schedule — there is no extra Marii payout step to wait for.

What Marii charges

Marii's fee model is deliberately simple: you pay once, when you publish a ticket type — not on every sale.

Paid events — 3% at publish

The fee is 3% of the ticket face value, paid once when the ticket type is published. After that, every sale settles in full into your gateway account — no per-sale commission. The minimum cash charge is $1.

Free ($0) events — flat $5

Free events pay a flat $5, and you still get the full toolkit: emailed QR tickets, the guest list, and free gate scanning.

Pay in kind with tickets

Prefer not to pay cash upfront? You can pay the fee in kind with tickets: Marii takes the smallest whole number of tickets that covers the fee and credits any excess back to your balance.

Premium events — $500 per event

For bigger productions, the premium option adds branded QR tickets, a hosted public event page, sales analytics, gate device licences, and featured placement.

No surprises: the dashboard shows the exact fee before you commit to publishing. There is no subscription, no monthly cost, and no gate fees.
