Refunds and cancellations

Refund eligibility follows each event's own policy, set by the organiser. Here is how to check it, how to request a refund, and what happens when an event is cancelled or postponed.

How do refunds work on Marii Tickets?

Every event on Marii has its own refund policy, set by the organiser and shown on the event page. Because ticket money settles directly into the organiser's own payment gateway account — Marii holds no funds — refunds are initiated by the organiser. Marii support can assist along the way, but there is no self-service refund button.

Requesting a refund as a buyer

1

Check the event's refund policy

Open the event page and read the refund policy the organiser has set. This is the policy that applies to your ticket — different events on Marii can have different rules, so what applied at one event may not apply at another.

2

Contact the organiser first

If the policy covers your situation, reach out to the organiser directly — they are the ones who can approve and process the refund, since the money is in their account.

Have your order number ready. It is in your confirmation email and identifies your purchase instantly.

3

Loop in Marii support if you need help

Can't reach the organiser, or need a hand with the process? Email support@marii.app with your order number. The support team can assist with refunds, but the refund itself still comes from the organiser.

4

Consider a transfer instead

Can't attend but not eligible for a refund? In most cases you can pass your ticket to someone else: open your ticket link and update the holder name to theirs, using the email you bought with. Names can be changed any time until the ticket is scanned at the gate. Resale is at the organiser's discretion.

Cancelled or postponed events

If an event is cancelled or postponed, the organiser contacts ticket holders by email with the details — another reason the email address you use at checkout matters. For a cancelled event, refunds are handled according to that event's policy.

For a postponed event, your ticket and its QR code stay as they are; the organiser's email will explain the new date and whether refunds are on offer for those who can no longer attend.

Heard a rumour the event is off? Check your inbox first — official cancellation or postponement news comes from the organiser by email to the address on your order.

A note for organisers

Because Marii never holds your ticket revenue, refunds come from you — the money is in your own gateway account. Two things make refund situations much smoother:

  • Set a clear refund policy on your event page before you publish, so buyers know the rules upfront.
  • If you cancel or postpone, email your ticket holders promptly — they are expecting to hear from you, and Marii support will point buyers back to your policy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a refund on my Marii ticket?
Refund eligibility follows the organiser's policy for that event, which is shown on the event page. If you are eligible, contact the organiser first, or email support@marii.app with your order number.
How do I request a refund?
There is no self-service refund button. Check the refund policy on the event page, then contact the organiser directly. If you cannot reach them, email support@marii.app with your order number and the support team can assist.
Who actually pays my refund — Marii or the organiser?
The organiser. Ticket money settles directly into the organiser's own payment gateway account — Marii holds no funds — so refunds are initiated by the organiser and come from them. Marii support can assist with the process.
The event was cancelled — what happens now?
If an event is cancelled, the organiser contacts ticket holders by email with the details, and refunds are handled according to that event's policy.
What if the event is postponed instead of cancelled?
The organiser will email ticket holders with the new details. Whether refunds are offered for a postponed event depends on the organiser's policy for that event.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else instead of refunding it?
In most cases yes — open your ticket link and update the holder name to theirs using the email you bought with, any time before the ticket is scanned at the gate. Resale is at the organiser's discretion.
